Welcome to My Journey!

The Path From Seed to Sprout.

I believe that we all come into this world as seeds– loaded with amazing potential and equipped with everything that we need to grow and thrive. We are dormant for a time while we acclimate to our soil and our surroundings; we're just taking it all in. Then, as we start to learn about who we are, we start to germinate, sort of marinating in all of our potential and possibility. As we nourish ourselves with all of the nutrients we have available in our environment, we begin to grow. And as we grow, the shell of our seed keeps getting tighter and more restrictive until we have an overwhelming feeling that we must get out and break through the barrier so that we can become more.

It starts as a small crack here and there where you can shoot out some roots. Not only does this give you some more wiggle room, but it allows you to expand your search for nourishment and find sources that were not available to you before, which in turn helps you grow and send out more and more roots. Eventually those roots are going to feed your growth to the point that life within the shell of the seed is no longer sustainable. You bust through breaking the shell into bits and you now are not a seed anymore, you're a sprout! Now eventually, with proper nurturing, the sprout that is you will go on to break through the soil and grow and fill its potential.

I have always loved the analogy of the seed for our lives and how during the transition from seed to sprout it looks like the end— you're in a total destruction phase— but it's not the end, it's just the metamorphosis into beautiful thriving growth! How exciting is that!

This is where I have been…My world has been falling apart for a while now culminating in an explosive finale over the last couple of years. But I am finally a sprout! It is so wonderful! I have just broken through the surface of the soil (which was much easier than the shell, by the way) and I can see the light and I have breathed my first breath of fresh air. Ahhhh! While I don't know what kind of a sprout I am, what I am growing to be, or what this looks like, it feels good…it feels BIG! Of course, compared to the size of my seed, even a blade of grass would be huge. I still have a few bits of shell to shake off my roots and a long way to grow, but now I know I can do it!

We all come from different types of seeds and different types of soil; that is what makes us and our world so beautiful. We all have the potential to break out of our beautiful seeds and grow into magnificent beings. Some seeds take longer to germinate than others; some shells are harder. Some seeds become trees that are bigger, stronger, and live longer; but that doesn't make them superior to a delicate flower. We are all interconnected and interdependent— the variety is necessary and a treasure to behold!  And we all came here with the specific design and purpose encoded in our seed. This is what we wanted to be! We see this cycle all throughout nature whether it be seeds, eggs, the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly  (and by the way it turns out there are way more creatures that go through this then are commonly known— even ladybugs are a product of this type of change).  As a human I think our whole egg/embryo experience is giving birth to our bodies, and then this body acts as a seed, so to speak, for our mind. We have the potential to have a rebirth of our consciousness. This is what Jesus was talking about— the death of the old consciousness, I will call it the seed consciousness, and being reborn, or sprouting, into the Christ consciousness.  Accepting your Sonship and experiencing the Oneness!

During my many years of germination I gathered much knowledge, some of which I was able to put to use right away; some I tried, but things just didn't seem to work; and some that I didn't even know what to do with. Looking back, I see this is natural! Some of it was needed at the time for my growth, and some of it was not meant for seeds–- it was for sprouts! Now that I am sprouting, I am revisiting much of this information and it is clearer to me now. Things make more sense!  Along my way, I have gathered many nuggets of ancient wisdom and guess what! It's called that for a reason! It is what nurtures our roots and helps us grow, and helps us heal! And I feel that a big part of my purpose is sharing these nuggets with anyone who is interested in healing and growing.

As a new sprout, I am learning how to tend my roots. I'm so excited to grow and see what I bloom into! I am revisiting and continuing to search for and discover these life-giving practices of ancient wisdom. I invite you to join me in my exploration— let’s learn to thrive together!

Welcome to my journey— hold on tight; it's going to be a wild and wonderful ride!
