Welcome to My Journey! The Path From Seed to Sprout.
I believe that we all come into this world as seeds– loaded with amazing potential and equipped with everything that we need to grow and thrive. We are dormant for a time while we acclimate to our soil and our surroundings; we're just taking it all in. Then, as we start to learn about who we are, we start to germinate, sort of marinating in all of our potential and possibility. As we nourish ourselves with all of the nutrients we have available in our environment, we begin to grow. And as we grow, the shell of our seed keeps getting tighter and more restrictive until we have an overwhelming feeling that we must get out and break through the barrier so that we can become more.

It starts as a small crack here and there where you can shoot out some roots. Not only does this give you some more wiggle room, but it allows you to expand your search for nourishment and find sources that were not available to you before, which in turn helps you grow and send out more and more roots. Eventually those roots are going to feed your growth to the point that life within the shell of the seed is no longer sustainable. You bust through breaking the shell into bits and you now are not a seed anymore, you're a sprout! Now eventually, with proper nurturing, the sprout that is you will go on to break through the soil and grow and fill its potential.
I have always loved the analogy of the seed for our lives and how during the transition from seed to sprout it looks like the end— you're in a total destruction phase— but it's not the end, it's just the metamorphosis into beautiful thriving growth! How exciting is that!
This is where I have been…My world has been falling apart for a while now culminating in an explosive finale over the last couple of years. But I am finally a sprout! It is so wonderful! I have just broken through the surface of the soil (which was much easier than the shell, by the way) and I can see the light and I have breathed my first breath of fresh air. Ahhhh! While I don't know what kind of a sprout I am, what I am growing to be, or what this looks like, it feels good…it feels BIG! Of course, compared to the size of my seed, even a blade of grass would be huge. I still have a few bits of shell to shake off my roots and a long way to grow, but now I know I can do it!
We all come from different types of seeds and different types of soil; that is what makes us and our world so beautiful. We all have the potential to break out of our beautiful seeds and grow into magnificent beings. Some seeds take longer to germinate than others; some shells are harder. Some seeds become trees that are bigger, stronger, and live longer; but that doesn't make them superior to a delicate flower. We are all interconnected and interdependent— the variety is necessary and a treasure to behold! And we all came here with the specific design and purpose encoded in our seed. This is what we wanted to be! We see this cycle all throughout nature whether it be seeds, eggs, the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly (and by the way it turns out there are way more creatures that go through this then are commonly known— even ladybugs are a product of this type of change). As a human I think our whole egg/embryo experience is giving birth to our bodies, and then this body acts as a seed, so to speak, for our mind. We have the potential to have a rebirth of our consciousness. This is what Jesus was talking about— the death of the old consciousness, I will call it the seed consciousness, and being reborn, or sprouting, into the Christ consciousness. Accepting your Sonship and experiencing the Oneness!
During my many years of germination I gathered much knowledge, some of which I was able to put to use right away; some I tried, but things just didn't seem to work; and some that I didn't even know what to do with. Looking back, I see this is natural! Some of it was needed at the time for my growth, and some of it was not meant for seeds–- it was for sprouts! Now that I am sprouting, I am revisiting much of this information and it is clearer to me now. Things make more sense! Along my way, I have gathered many nuggets of ancient wisdom and guess what! It's called that for a reason! It is what nurtures our roots and helps us grow, and helps us heal! And I feel that a big part of my purpose is sharing these nuggets with anyone who is interested in healing and growing.
As a new sprout, I am learning how to tend my roots. I'm so excited to grow and see what I bloom into! I am revisiting and continuing to search for and discover these life-giving practices of ancient wisdom. I invite you to join me in my exploration— let’s learn to thrive together!
Welcome to my journey— hold on tight; it's going to be a wild and wonderful ride!
What if? it’s a small world After all!
Wouldn't it be wonderful to be a part of a community whose primary focus was harmony? Or even if we could see what that type of community looks like so we could use it as a model? Wouldn’t that be great? What if we are already part of a community like this, a very large one, in fact, and all we really need to do is look within?
Wouldn't it be wonderful to be a part of a community whose primary focus was harmony? Or even if we could see what that type of community looks like so we could use it as a model? Wouldn’t that be great? What if we are already part of a community like this, a very large one, in fact, and all we really need to do is look within?
I recently listened to the book "The Wisdom of Your Cells" by Bruce Lipton, PhD. In the book he talks about the fractal patterning of nature, and how we humans are not excluded from this. It was so fascinating to listen to him illustrate the As above; So below-ness of our bodies, and how right down to our cells we are made of complete systems. Our cells carry out individually all of the functions that our body carries out collectively. It is a beautiful representation of the holographic nature of being! He also sheds light on the fact that our bodies are just giant communities of cells each doing their part to ensure proper function of the body. This community must hold harmony in the highest regard, for without it there is no chance of thriving--for your body harmonious unity is a matter of survival. The book explores how we can look within, to this community, for the wisdom of how to be in thriving community. I highly recommend checking it out!
As I listened, I was inspired to apply this concept of the fractal patterning to my healing. Instead of the overwhelming task of healing my whole body, why not focus my attention on one cell, or at least move my focus to the cellular level. Real-izing what is true for one cell would have to be true for all of my cells. It was worth a shot! First to decide what cell to focus on...
Well, some cells have a pretty short life span, so I wanted to make sure that the cell I worked with was going to stick around for a while! A quick Google search was in order! 😂 When I asked, “What cells in the human body live the longest?” the first answer to pop up was neurons, or nerve cells, including our brain cells which are suspected to be able to live for over 200 years. While this made sense to me, for some reason I felt like that was not the answer I was looking for, so I scrolled on. And there I saw it! According to BBC's ScienceFocus.com, your eye lens cells last your entire life! 👀Wow! Of course! That makes so much sense to me! Essentially the lens through which we view our world is comprised of the same cells today as when we were born! No wonder it is so hard for us to shift our perspectives on the core things, because when we get to the core of our perception, we have been looking through lenses that were molded & shaped a long time ago. And these cells have been the eyes for, and informants to our neurons, perceiving and relaying information about the environment we are in to our nervous system, and subsequently our entire body. So, what other cells could be a more perfect candidate for healing?
Before I go into the experience that has unfolded I want to add, once I began thinking about our cells as a community and how healing on this level might work, it came to me that while our eye lens cells and the other cells related to our 5 senses are the reporters or media channels, our neurons play the role of influencers. They are taking in the information provided, processing & forming an opinion about it, and deciding the best course of action. They then spread it like wildfire throughout the body getting everyone onboard to take action in harmonious union. This just reaffirmed that the eye lens cells would be a perfect choice because, as they returned to their natural state of well being, the neurons would quickly catch wind of this and spread the gospel of wellness throughout my entire body! ❤️🔥
Also, I have noticed over the last couple of years that as I have gotten healthier my eyesight has improved slightly-- just enough to add to my irritations around wearing glasses, which I have done since age 11. Having added bifocals about 5 years ago and soon after adding in a pair of glasses for the computer at work, I have tried to ‘pair’ down each time I have noticed improvement to no avail.
I began visualizing my eye lens cells as these perfectly functioning little organisms swimming around freely and harmoniously (pulling from memories of microscope images of little round things moving around each other). Then I started sending love & light to them, at which point I remembered that all of our cells produce light! So now they looked more like little suns radiating around. But as I thought more about their role and the community aspect, I decided I needed to go with a less traditional vision of them. They soon became these beautiful, shapely socialites with their faces pressed up against the window of the eye wall looking at all the beautiful things in the world. "Oh my goodness, did you just see that?" "Oh, look over here, quick!" "Aww, how sweet!" …the murmurs of excitement and joy… some moved to tears, and when the neurons show up, they are practically tripping over themselves trying to recount it all. "All is well!" they say. "We are safe!" " Everything is going our way!" "Isn't it just wonder full!" they exclaim blushing and gushing. 🥰
I also utilized my other tools including several PSYCH-K® balances with the help of Louise Hay's affirmations associated with the eyes in "You Can Heal Your Life." For instance, “I am willing to see my own beauty and magnificence." After diving deep into all of the different angles of healing my eye lens cells for about a week, something happened that made me aware of an improvement in my vision! Like never before kind of improvement! A return of my near sight--no more bifocals--no more computer glasses!
So, I’ve doubled down, surrendering my far sight and using this as a new focus for my goal statements. I have continued to improve to the point that I can now see better without my glasses then with them! Very exciting yet leaving me in a place wondering if/when I will regain my full far sight…while I do wish to lean into and follow my guidance--I do want to see the world around me clearly! I decided the only thing to do at this point is to embrace and love where I am and take advantage of the opportunity to lean into my other senses.
When I began working on healing these eye lens cells, clear vision was the expected outcome. What I did not expect was that on top of the physical improvements to my vision, I have gained an expanded, multidimensional view of my world! And, actually, this has been a more profound healing than that of my physical vision. I don't have the space here to go into depth about that but here is an example:
Over the last year I have been doing much work around feeling and knowing that I am fully supported. Last year, it came to me that I could not truly see myself as fully supported until I could see that Truth about all others as well--if it is true for one, it is true for all! Most specifically, I needed to see that was true for my husband. I have been working on that, and making progress, but I have now had a breakthrough, expanding my view dimensionally! I didn't feel it was flat before, but now I do!
I see now that I need to see him as fully supported by God/Source/The Universe/All That Is, because this full support is what gives him the ability to be fully supportive of me. At the same time, I must support him (I'm part of All that Is... hehehe) by holding a vision of him in a higher degree of Love, fully supported and able to support me, so that I can choose to experience that version of him in any given moment. And when I do that, he becomes a part of my full support! And it is not that my being fully supported is dependent on him, but on me choosing that version of him (or any of the other players in my life) & vice versa. Whoa! That was a lot! I hope you were able to follow that…it is not easy to convey in words. I think part of the multidimensionality is experiential! This new vision has helped my see the Greatest Degree of Love in an expanded way as well! I will write about that at some point in the future...I'm not sure I can quite put that into words yet!
I will leave you with one last expansive view that I have gained this month. Most of us have been ingrained with this idea of perfection that is completely limiting and therefore, imperfect. I had to have a difficult conversation this month and, as I am sure many of us do, I rehearsed it over and over in my head and had the idea of what the perfect version of it looked like on both sides of the table. I even took it a step further and visualized it going perfectly. And guess what? It went just as I pictured--🤣 Not! Ha!
But you know what? Because of the perceived imperfect track that it did take, I was afforded an expanded view that I would not have seen otherwise. One that will most definitely help me in all of my future difficult moments! And as for this healing of my eye lens cells, my previous definition of perfect healing would have equaled instantaneous. But if that had happened, I would not have kept digging deeper, delving into all of the layers that led me to this multidimensional, expansive vision that I have gained! I would not trade that experience. And while my vision is not yet 20/20 it is almost there! I have not worn my glasses in almost 3 weeks now!
I encourage you to try it out! Simplify your healing process to the cellular level and see just how quickly changing one can impact the whole! Just don't pick your neutrophil cells--they are a type of white blood cell that may only live about 2 days!
What If? The launch of a thousand ‘what ifs’!
It's time to tell you about that sentence I read that blew my mind and launched a thousand’What ifs’! It is not even a long sentence, but it turned my world upside down, Not only because it revealed a truth to me, but because it opened my eyes to a mythology I had created about myself! It made me wonder what other mythologies I have been operating under as if they were truth. All of a sudden my world took on new dimensions!
Back in December I was reading a fantastic book, "Breath" by journalist James Nestor, which I highly recommend. Not only is it home to this sentence, it's just an enjoyable book all around. Leading up to the sentence, he is talking about carbon dioxide and it is role in our body and how the oxygen-carbon dioxide exchange works. I'm going to go ahead and give you the whole paragraph:
"For every ten pounds of fat loss in our bodies, eight and a half pounds of it comes out through the lungs; most of it is carbon dioxide mixed with a bit of water vapor. The rest is sweated or urinated out. This is a fact that most doctors, nutritionists, and other medical professionals have historically gotten wrong. The lungs are the weight regulating system of the body."
What??? Holy cow! And he didn't even mention #2!
So this, understandably, got my gears turning and I wondered if my idea of how this all worked was so far off from reality, what if everything I thought I knew about my body was wrong? And where did my belief come from? I guess I really didn't learn it in school…and then I realized it was my own personal mythology. We tend to think of mythology as stories-- often silly sounding in retrospect-- that the ancient people made up to describe the world around them. We think of mythology as a thing of the past. But here I realized that it is not a thing of the past! Our brains are designed to do this-- to fill in the blanks-- to make sense of what we experience. And when we form these mythologies they shape the lens through which we see the world; they mold our perceptions.
I share this to not only illuminate how I started really asking the question "What if," but also because my "What if"this month-- my resurrecting idea-- was a revisit to the original. When I read this back in December I did delve a bit deeper and had even had this thought that I really hadn't had time to explore thoroughly because my journey took a detour: What if my body is fully capable of functioning perfectly, at full capacity, but my beliefs are keeping it from doing so?
Like take my thyroid for instance, what if it is 100% capable but the story I've been believing is that it is impaired and that belief is what drives the function. My thyroid says, "Well I can operate at 100%, but you are asking me to do 60%, well ok…you're the boss." I now believe that this is a complete possibility after looking at it from several different angles, especially with what I have learned about our subconscious mind and the way it operates. And it is the one carrying out the orders.
Now, the new "what if" is circling back, sort of echoing these original questions. What if we choose how it all works? The original context was in our bodies, but as it has unfolded I see how it is a relavant question for ALL! But isn't that just the same message we have been hearing for years-we create our experience and we choose by what we give our attention to? I guess I have just never thought about it on quite this tangible a level before. Things like our body and how it functions just seem so solid—so set in stone. But now that I know that all of this solid seeming extra fluff on my body is just a bunch of air...
Maybe my creative…and your creative power and potential is really much more than we knew! Maybe this is the ultimate explaination for why different health protocols work so well for some and not at all for others. Yes, I think it is!
And then I was listening to Dr. Rangan Chatterjee's book "Make Changes That Last," and he said that in his first week in medical school they were told that 50% of what they would be taught is incorrect-- they just dont know which 50%! So keep that in mind the next time you get a diagnosis that doesnt sit right with your gut. And I am really not saying anything bad about medical professionals, I believe most of them are well intended and are doing their best with what they were taught. And they do help a lot of people and save lives.
So, this has been a really big unfolding for me this month and I don't think I can possibly get it all into this one post. Coming from a metaphysical background, the power of mind is not a new concept for me by any means. I grew up hearing stories like one of an Oxford experiment that students conducted on inmates in which the inmates were blindfolded and then made to believe their wrists were cut. The warm trickle of water was convincing enough that some of the inmates actually died.
How many stories have we bought into or made up to explain the state of our health or wellness over the years? Many, so long ago even, that we just take them for granted as if we learned them from some authority when we were really the author, maybe even when we were children and really had no idea what was going on?
Now I am listening to "The Wisdom of Your Cells" by Dr. Bruce Lipton (one of my favs) and oh boy! I am going to have much to tell you about my experience with this book later, but I am going to leave you with this for now. Bruce Lipton is a cellular biologist and pioneer of the science of epigenetics--he has also played an important role in my life as he brought me to PSYCH-K®!" In the book, he goes through all of the science of how our biology functions, including our genes and DNA.
While it is a commonly held belief that our health is ultimately determined by whatever genes we inherited, the science now proves this is not the case and that the expression or suppression of our genes is determined by our perceptions and beliefs!
Once again science is proving spirituality! And I think this is creating pathways to enhance our metaphysical healing! As, while it is not necessary to know how it all works for healing to occur, sometimes the way it works provides a helpful clue to the nature of the error being corrected.
Now it’s your turn…What mythologies are at play in your life? What might you change if you change your beliefs? I can tell you, while it may not be completely due to this change in my perception, I have exhaled at least 20 lbs of fat since I had this shift!
What if? In like a Lion; out like a lamb!
Earlier this month I had the inspiration to view my life through a different lens: What if everything that has happened in my life so far has happened for me, not to me? Everything!
I was able to explore this through….
Earlier this month I had the inspiration to view my life through a different lens: What if everything that has happened in my life so far has happened for me, not to me? Everything!
I was able to explore this through an advanced PSYCH-K® balance, the alternative life balance, which interestingly enough, helps create a bio-energetic blueprint for my body to use to step into that new energy and perception going forward. It was pretty amazing, and has definitely helped me navigate the current storms in my life!
In pondering this and how this new perception will change the actions and reactions I have going forward, this month's question bubbled up: What if the absolute best way to assist and affect change in our current events on a global level really is to work on ourselves?
We have heard it resounded, "Be the change you wish to see in the world," and other versions of this age old adage. And I suppose each person's interpretation of this is shaped by the lens through which they view themselves and the world around them. For instance, if someone has low self worth, then how much impact can they perceive themselves as having on anything, let alone the world?
So I think the foundational understanding that is necessary is that of the Universal Law: ‘As above, so below; as within, so without.’ If you have been reading my blogs you will recognize that I have been journeying through the depths and implications of this law for a while now. It is so amazing the way Life is unfolding this for me!
For this we will start with a brief and basic look at he first half of the law, ‘As above, so below’; which is perhaps most famously reflected in the Bible's dictum that God created man in His image and likeness. God, as Creator, creates man, also a creator. While the implications of man being created in God's image and likeness run much farther and deeper than this, let's just stay there for now.
And ‘As within, so without’ is the creative expression or manifestation of the former…While we're here in school room Earth, operating under the illusion of dualism and separation—for educational purposes, of course—we have chosen to see the world through distorted lenses to support this illusion. You could say our goal while we are here is to keep upgrading our lenses to a higher & less distorted view, closer and closer to Truth—which is the highest degree of Love.
As you do the work within and shift your paradigm, or view, you are changing your lenses! And in turn, viewing your world through a higher degree of Love! This is how, through doing the inner work, you change the world from the inside out. ‘As within’ is how you create your lens; ‘so without’ is the manifestation or projection of this creation. What you see and experience in the world around you is merely a reflection of how you are seeing your inner being.
Are you looking at yourself through the lens of a higher degree of Love or a lower one? And, by the way, you do not see the outer world or any of your co-creators in it through a higher lens than you see yourself. That's the way this Earth plane is designed. So if you are horrified by what you see going on out there, the ONLY way to change that is to go within...this is how you advocate for change.
The word advocate, from it's root, means to call to the aid of another. In today’s society we see this typically being carried out by either voicing our opinions or speaking out on behalf of another or a cause. I would propose that a higher version of this communication on behalf of would be to focus on tuning your own vibration to a higher frequency around this subject, so that you are re-sounding a more pure tone for others to resonate to. My guess is that this is really the only way that significant and lasting changes are ever made.
Scientific studies have already proven that the majority of our communication is non-verbal, and I believe that the quickest way to raise your vibration is to have a higher vibration to resonate to or to come into alignment with. If you think about it these situations for which we tend to advocate generally devolved in this same way—resonating to a lower frequency.
I think that this is what being a light worker is all about—working on raising yourself to higher and higher frequencies (and of course you are not doing it by yourself; you have the full support of the Universe and All that Is). The higher you vibrate the, more light you send out as vibration to re-mind others that they too can vibrate at these higher frequencies, and elevating the world around you. And you need not worry that it will make a difference (In fact, worrying only lowers your vibration)—It will, it must, as IT IS LAW!
So, what of the Lion and the lamb? Well, while I was contemplating this ‘What if' this title came to me, which obviously seemed very timely in the month of March, but when I asked how it tied into this question, here is what came to me (I just so LOVE being guided through these!)
Often when we think of the Lion we think of him as defender & protector often with a scary or intimidating presence and a terrifying roar. We might think that is how he became King of the Jungle—through fear. A fear of penetrated boundaries protected by instilling fear. And that is what many of us are seeing imitated in our current events. A lot of fearful people roaring to protect and defend their boundaries acting upon their fears and/or trying to instill fear in others to defend what they believe to be theirs or to be right.
But this is not what the Lion represents at all; he represents an inner strength, an inner knowing that all is well, all is as it should be, and that his radiant light is the only protection that he needs, as darkness is not present in the light. His roar is a resounding echo of the Law and structure under which every thing in the jungle organizes into its proper place within.
If you switch your lens, and shift your paradigm, to see him in this Truth, you can use his light to elevate yourself and stand in this inner strength and knowing. You can be a lion in your jungle and correct this distortion; reorganizing the world around you.
And the Lamb...often referred to as the sacrificial Lamb…well, we tend to see him as an innocent victim being sacrificed/slaughtered, and when we are looking at him through this distorted lens the only way we can make sense of it is to chalk it up to atonement for our sins. While that may come with a sort of gratitude, it also holds a sadness & fear—fear that we may be the next innocent victim.
This too is a misconception of the symbol of the Lamb and what he represents. The Lamb is the peaceful calm center embodying service, not sacrifice. Like the Lion, the Lamb has the inner knowing that all is well and he dwells in a peace that resounds so resolutely that it serves as a peaceful calm that maintains it’s center in the midst of the storm. The service in this can be seen in the way a storm works.
In short, the calm center of a storm attracts the raging winds toward it. When the opposing winds meet each other in the center they balance each other and become one with the calm! I guess you could say when they become centered they reach at-one-ment! So in truth the Lamb is not swallowed by the raging wolves, but it is that the wolves become lambs.
We see often in Christian literature Jesus, as the Christ, being referred to as the Lion and the Lamb. To keep this post from being extraordinarily long, and to leave some of the fun for you (the joy is in the journey), I will leave you to ponder those comparisons through this new lens. ❤ Pretty interesting, huh?
Before I go, since Easter is next month, I have a challenge for you should you choose to accept... My mother, who was also an ADL Minister, shared with me several years ago that she had taken up the practice, around Easter time, of asking for…and then expecting to receive...a resurrecting thought. When she shared, I began doing this too.
I have been doing it for many years now and I always receive one—and it is always AMAZING! It happens within the season—sometimes on "the" weekend, but actually usually comes beforehand. In fact, when I was composing this paragraph in my head—in the shower, LOL— I received mine for this year. It will be my April ‘what if’ so stay tuned! And in the meantime I encourage you to try it for yourself this year and see what kind of AMAZING resurrection you can experience—’tis the season! And I would love to hear about yours as well.
What if?— A long winter’s Nap?
Last week I experienced a period of unscheduled rest. While I went into it kicking and screaming, by the end I embraced it, and it made me wonder— what if it's okay to rest? Actually, what if it's not just okay but optimal to rest? What if resting gets us to where we want to be quicker?
Last week I experienced a period of unscheduled rest. While I went into it kicking and screaming, by the end I embraced it, and it made me wonder— what if it's okay to rest? Actually, what if it's not just okay but optimal to rest? What if resting gets us to where we want to be quicker?
I know that your first thought is, “What do you mean? Of course it’s ok! Everybody knows that we all need to rest…”. But do we really? We say that, but our actions don’t reflect that. I feel like everyone is always go, go, going. And even when we take a “vacation”— how many times have you felt like you needed a vacation from your vacation? I know I feel like that almost every time! Because we are so busy in our everyday, we rarely get a chance to get away and when we do, we try to jam pack as much into that time as possible. It’s exhausting just thinking about it!
We're living in a world that just keeps getting faster and faster! If I didn't already feel it, all I’d have to do is watch a movie from the ‘80s and see just how slow it feels compared to what we are accustomed to now. It would be not only slower, but quieter…with more space between the dialogue. Still enjoyable, but I definitely notice the lag.
The increasing speeds are increasing the demands on us. And we constantly hear phrases like “snooze you lose,” “day late, dollar short,” and “you don’t want to miss the boat!” It's no wonder anxiety is rising! But what if what we really need is to stop for a moment, to pause, to rest?
I've been playing around with the concept of time, and using it more as a tool instead of being a slave to it. I had an epiphany around this about a year ago and part of it was a realization that the way to stretch time is to be present— in the now— since that is when everything is actually happening.
At the time I was going through a busy period at work, and I realized that I was having some anxiety throughout my day while racing to get everything done. When this came to me, I started putting it into practice– taking pauses to gather myself, slowing down and focusing into the now. I found that I not only got more work done, but I did it in a relaxed manner without all the stress and anxiety I was experiencing before! But, even with this knowing it is so easy to slide back into the rat race. And if you're not mindful, sometimes your body will find it necessary to create a pause for you. Hence my last week.
I'm pretty sure my body was just doing some detoxing, and I figured I could handle that and still go about my usual routine, but my body felt otherwise! And because I am so resistant to calling out of work, each morning my body had to put me through the ringer to get me to make the call. But once the call was done things eased up fairly quickly and I was able to rest. This happened Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. By Saturday I gave in and didn't resist. Sunday, I felt better but decided to give it one more day of rest before heading back to work on Monday.
It is healthy for our bodies to rest and enter the “rest and digest” phase as opposed to being in “fight or flight” all of the time. We were not designed to live in “fight or flight” that should only happen in short bursts! Yet that is where many of us live. When we rest, our bodies are able to process and digest everything that has been happening. It also gives them a chance to repair and rejuvenate! When we rest our mind, we are able to experience the quiet and make space for new ideas or guidance to flow in. After my rest, I am experiencing a greater sense of clarity, not to mention peace.
When your body forces you to slow down this way, you actually get to a deeper rest that we generally allow ourselves to get to when we are well. When was the last time that you rested in a waking state without consuming anything—no tv, no books, no thoughts of what you are going to do later? I got there for the first time in a really long time last week because I just didn’t have the energy to do any of that…and you know what? It was actually really nice to just sit there in the stillness, in the quiet for a while.
Eventually, I returned to a thinking state…maybe more of a pondering. A gentler, less rushed type of thinking. And it was like there was enough space that a bunch of little loose ends and snippets of thought that had been crammed in my head over the last few months could just relax and saunter around until they found their way into coherent groupings—complete thoughts! Clear thoughts!
And then I thought, “Wow! I should do this more often, deliberately, without having to be forced into it by my body!” In fact, I believe that just doing this regularly would go a long way towards keeping our bodies healthy, as they would be able to use the downtime to repair and restore on a regular basis. Kinda like getting your car’s oil changed and having it maintenanced on a regular basis to avoid long and costly stays in the repair shop.
It was actually while contemplating all of this that I had a paradigm shift on the topic of pausing that might be the biggest thing behind this ‘what if’! You see I’ve got my fingers in a lot of different pots right now, and they keep me really busy. Also, I have been really focusing on being led through… everything really— and I am actually getting much better at it. (I think if you spoke with my Angels about it they would tell you that I am very much improved, but still have a ways to go…lol) However, sometimes being led looks very sporadic; I might be inspired to work on my website, for example, and get a big chunk of it done, but before I can complete it, I am inspired to go work on another project. If I had time to think about it, I might second guess the decision, but it’s a bit like juggling, if I stop to look back the pin drops!
I was starting to feel a little bad about it, or maybe frustrated is a better word, feeling like I was not finishing anything. But then I started to notice some patterns… Something would happen later, spontaneously, that was just what I needed for the next step in that paused project! Now, all of the sudden the pause made sense…it was truly a pause for a cause!
That awareness is making it easier to be led, that’s for sure ;) So, having already made this observation, here is the shift… what if taking the pauses not only makes life more enjoyable, but what if it really does get you to where you are going quicker? For instance, I could have either pushed through one of those pauses and struggled, whilst doing a lot of uninspired work, just to come up with something that wasn’t quite right until suddenly that perfect next step showed up to save the day, or my labor could have taken me down another path entirely, where I didn’t meet that perfect next step and instead I met an average old step, followed by who knows what before I reached my destination—or not…
The first scenario, looking from a higher perspective, gets me to the same place as I did with the pause, just with a lot more effort and wasted time—I got a lot of other stuff done during that pause—the second, maybe is a road to nowhere or a mediocre end, or maybe it eventually winds back around to the perfect step much later. Being led really is the path of least resistance! Then also, what if it has nothing to do with roadblocks and breadcrumbs and it is really just a race to the finish?
Well, since we don’t know the future and what time that figurative ship is set to sail…what if all this hurrying, racing, and stressing all along the way really just gets you there super early? Like really early— like your saying, “I did all of the steps to manifest what I want perfectly and quickly, so where’s my stuff?” and now you just have to wait.
Yet, if you had taken your time, stopped to smell the roses, soaked in the pauses, and had more fun along the way, you would have arrived just as your ship pulled into to port—in fact, it was super exciting watching it pull in, anticipating all the fun you were going to have onboard!
It really put Abraham-Hicks’ teachings in a different perspective for me. This is what they have been saying all along…the Joy is in the journey! And then the step onto that ship is the next logical step and it is like having an instant manifestation because you didn't race to the finish and have to wait around for it. HA! I hope you got that like I did!
So next time you find yourself in a hurry, maybe your next best step will be to pause for a moment, allow your thoughts to reorder themselves in a more coherent way, and then be led! Have you had any life changing pauses lately?
What If?— A January Flurry
I recently came upon a sentence that blew my mind! 🤯 It caused me to re-examine everything I thought I knew about the subject. Which then led into a series of What ifs…What if everything I thought I knew was not correct?
I recently came upon a sentence that blew my mind! 🤯 It caused me to re-examine everything I thought I knew about the subject. Which then led into a series of What ifs…What if everything I thought I knew was not correct?
So I've been looking at things differently now and I have decided that 2025 is going to be the first of many years of What ifs for me! And that is my theme for this year! This post is the beginning of a series that I will post throughout the year; I'm committing to at least one a month. Perhaps next month I will go into the details of the original What if that started this momentum, but today I am going to talk about my newest What if as it seems very relevant to me right now.
Last night I was listening to someone speak about some Gnostic beliefs. Interestingly enough these teachings seem to be, from first glance anyways, focused more holistically– offering a more in depth account of the events leading up to and the people surrounding the life of Jesus. I am definitely interested to hear more! The thing that I heard that sparked this new What if in me was (and I'm paraphrasing my memory of it here) that it is believed that John the Baptist masterfully called the Holy Spirit down into the water in which he baptized Jesus and in doing so he called the Holy Spirit down in to all of the waters on Earth, infusing them forever with the Holy Spirit! And that that is why we can feel the sacred energy in the waters and the nature that it runs through. Wow! Just Wow!
As I was thinking about it this morning, I thought what if that is really true? What would that change? How would that make my life different? What difference would there be in the way I viewed things and experienced them? What would that mean?
Well, I think of the Holy Spirit as interchangeable with and as another way to describe Christ consciousness. So from here on out I am going to view it through that lens. Incidentally, when I started thinking about it this morning I was in the shower, which is often where I have inspiring thoughts, as I know many do. There are scientific explanations for this phenomenon surrounding negative ions in the water, but as we know many scientifically explained things are descriptions of spiritual things just in a different language.
What if the reason we tend to have such spiritually enlightening sessions in water is because it is infused with Christ consciousness and so it is literally inspiring us in the root sense of the word? Inspire comes from a Latin word meaning “to breathe into.” What better opportunity to breathe into us than while showering down around us, encasing us? Which now brings me to thinking about how every breath we take in contains droplets of moisture (aka water) that are in the air. And of course this is even more so while we're breathing in the shower, or under a waterfall, or in a steaming spring or bath…oh and what about super moist places like the rainforest? That could be a fun place to go and be inspired! Or even more ordinary places like in the depths of a hot, humid southeastern summer…or in the midst of a record breaking snowy Florida winter day!!!
And this is just the tip of the iceberg (frozen water…lol)— water is everywhere! And, WOW, the more I think about this it sounds a lot like something else I know to be everywhere, 💗 wink, wink! And maybe that is why so many things referring to consciousness have taken on the language of water; we have streams of consciousness and are encouraged to go with the flow, to name a few. And now I am remembering about the studies that have shown how water holds memory and the findings of Dr. Masaru Emoto! 🤯🤯
I started thinking about all of the ways that water is in my life. Every morning am I being showered with Christ consciousness? Am I bringing Christ consciousness into my mouth each time I brush my teeth? And then when I drink water! Am I imbibing the Christ consciousness? I wash my dishes and clothes and clean my house with this Holy Spirit? And speaking of washing dishes, maybe that explains why you can have such a great meditative experience while washing dishes!
There are so many more ways that water shows up in our life I can't even begin to ponder or touch on all of them today. So, I will leave much territory for you to explore. Here is one last last stream: The human body is said to be composed of about 60% water. What if I held this as my confirmation that the Christ consciousness is alive, and I could even say in motion, in everyone? How would that change the way that I interact with every person? Would it inspire me to try to interact with the Christ consciousness within each person? To awaken it? To draw it out? How would I go about doing this? Would I look to the Law of Attraction, knowing that I draw out of others the actions and reactions that are a match to the way I think about or focus on them? Or better yet, would I call upon the Law of As Within, So Without and real-ize this principle by allowing the Christ consciousness to work through me, inviting it to express through all of those I see!
And why stop with people? Why not recognize this consciousness and all other beings and in all things? Will this new knowing about the water all around me change the way I look at and think about all water– even the water that floods? Will it change the way I think about hurricanes and tsunamis and torrential downpours and blizzards? So much to explore…
So in conclusion, what if this is a great Truth? And even more, what if it doesn't matter if it's true at all— since we already know that everything is Love…can I not look at all these things the same way just based on that?
I hope this has inspired you to curiosity and to begin your own stream of What ifs! Watch for more of mine to come! I would love to hear your thoughts if you would like to share 💗
Looking to nature for the blueprints of manifestion
I have heard time and time again that we should look to nature to see the truth of how things work—the blueprints of the whole design are hidden in plain sight in the world around us. And we can see the truth in this throughout ages of scientific studies and the lists just keep getting longer. In fact much, if not all, of our modern technology is in one way or another modeled after nature.
The content in this post refers to pregnancy in the form of a metaphor. For the purpose of the metaphor I have chosen to only speak to the aspects of a typical, “healthy” pregnancy. Please know that I am aware that not all pregnancies fit into this category and it is not my intent to disrespect, neglect, or make light of this. I send the Greatest Degree of Love to all women, in all stages, shapes, and forms of their experiences surrounding motherhood.
I was recently inspired to look at the way manifestation happens so effortlessly in nature…and I see it is true! Animals in the wild live there lives led by their instincts and urges and next thing you know they are multiplying. Manifesting babies without even trying! A lot of the time this is how it happens for humans too, and for the most part we accept that this manifestation— a baby—is a sure thing. Once we get the confirmation that conception has occurred, we have full expectation that this is happening and after some months we will have a completely formed, tiny human in our hands.
The mother has conceived a perfect and whole idea, and then she spends the next several months fully convinced and in full expectation that she will be holding a baby soon. She nurtures her body to the best of her knowledge and ability, and she prepares and adapts her lifestyle to make room for this new creation. However, she is not actively building a baby. She is not planning or arranging what parts go where…she is not designing molecular structures…she is not deciding which genes will be expressed.
Her body and the Divine are doing all of the heavy lifting. (Not to takeaway from all of the amazing women out there, experiencing their body’s rapid and taxing morphs and shifts). My point is, she is not trying to build, plan out, or micro-manage the growth of this life inside of her. If her body needs some assistance, it will call out through a craving or some other type of signal to let the mother know what it needs, and she will most often respond appropriately.
It struck me in a new way, like never before, that we should be using this same model from nature for the other manifestations in our lives! Once the idea of or desire for a new manifestation appears and you have the urge or inspiration to take action, you have conception. The next step should be to relax and settle into receiving mode, remaining fully response-able so that you can clearly hear and respond to any needs or leads. And just allow the miracle to unfold with full expectation that there will be a gestational period and then a birth- a manifestation!
So, I have this BIG manifestation coming into being right now, and it is definitely not a human baby, but I am going to use the analogy to hopefully illustrate the process more clearly. Here goes: I always knew that I wanted to have “children” (really my impending manifestation) someday. And for a while now I have been thinking about having a “child” and how that might be a nice thing. I started thinking about what my life might look like with a “child”— dreaming. Then I got an urge to go find the other pieces of the “baby” making puzzle (the cooperative components) and once I found a good match we started playing around, practicing if you will, and next thing you know I was pretty sure I was “pregnant”. It kinda felt like it and I was excited but kinda nervous wondering if it was really happening. But I started doing things a little differently—like I would if I was “pregnant”.
And then a few weeks ago it happened! I got the sign that let me know this is definitely happening and now! The positive test per se. And that is when I got the inspiration to think of it like a pregnancy…moving into the realm of expectancy. Once you’re in a state of expecting, you are no longer wondering if and when it’s going to happen…it’s happening, there is a baby coming and you shift into a mode of nurturing and preparation. You are focused on making sure you are getting all of your needs met with rest and nutrition so that you can best support this growing life inside of you. And you are also preparing all of the things in your life so that you will be ready when the baby arrives.
As far as the actual manifestation of the baby goes…you are not actively doing that work or efforting at all, you are creating and supporting an environment conducive to growth. Maybe most importantly, you are getting excited! Picking out names and colors for the nursery. Curious about what your new bundle of joy is going to look like…what unique signature it will have just because you are the one that gave birth to it!
I am starting to feel my “baby” move! And I am getting the “nursery” ready— it’s so exciting to feel it growing even though it is not inside of me…lol! Pretty soon I will be making play dates and getting on the waiting list for the best preschool. Is it too soon to look into colleges?!?
So you see, once you move into expecting, you can be curious, but excited. There is no longer room or need for doubt and worry about whether it is coming…there is only knowing that it is.
I believe that adopting this approach and attitude around all of your creations will be the quickest and most joy-filled way to give them life and bring them into being! Ha! By staying in a state of being, as opposed to a state of doing,—being expectant, being curious, being open, being led, being surrendered, being joyful, being grateful, and being full of love— you most quickly attract other things into being! How AWEsome is that!
What are you expecting?
The every day, ordinary importance of listening and timing!
I was inspired to write this post today because as I was doing my chores (AKA my laundry) that little voice suggested I do things in a different order…and I actually listened this time!
I was inspired to write this post today because as I was doing my chores (AKA my laundry) that little voice suggested I do things in a different order…and I actually listened this time!
So often, when we have been stuck in the habit of acting as a “human doing” instead of a “human being” for a long time, we operate in patterns—sometimes ruts— that we have forged with our logical mind (the one that trys to control everything,) and we don’t listen to our guidance. In fact many think that guidance from our Higher Selves, Angels, the Universe, and God is reserved for the BIG things and is something that comes as a result of your direct appeal. In that case, I guess you wouldn’t even be listening unless you had asked, and even then would you know what you were listening for? Maybe you would just go back to trying to do the best you can to make things happen…
It is understandable because we are not taught in school about how this all works, and even in churches, often the details of how it works are not really spelled out leaving one to unravel the great mysteries on their own, or not at all! If we only remembered that we all have an inner guidance system that is operating all of the time- 24/7! We just have to listen, and know what we are listening for…
Nowadays most are familiar with the terms “intuition” and “gut feeling” and have a general idea of what they are/mean. I think the general consensus, based on my experience, is that some people have it—some people don’t…and if you do it is just some kind of special instinct…oh, and women are more likely to have it— Lucky us! They don’t realize that this is something we all have! Intuition is the most common terminology in today’s vocabulary to describe the central hub of our inner guidance system. It’s sort of like our very own internal GPS that we ALL come equipped with. But it kinda helps to know that we have it and what it does.
The GPS we use in our vehicles has direct access to global information that gives it the knowledge necessary to provide us with detailed instructions about the most direct and hazard free way to get to where we are wanting to go. Similarly, we have direct access, through our inner guidance system, to those (or that part of us) with the big picture information, such as; why we are here, what we desire, what we dislike, what our purpose is (grand scale and in this moment), etc. And if we “listen”, it will lead us on the most direct and pleasant route to get to where we want to go, by way of the highest degree of Love! This is for the big stuff AND the small stuff….all day everyday! Our inner guidance system is our direct connection to our Higher Self, Angels, Guides, The Universe, God…it is our direct connection to ALL THAT IS! To what I call “My Team.” I guess it’s kinda like having a personal assistant that knows everything…in a good way!
I could go on and on about this, and I will…but not today!
So, back to my chores…actually now that I think about it a bit earlier in the day I was going to get the step stool and noticed some tiny streaming rainbows coming through the glass in my front door and spilling onto the floor. Not a rare occurrence, but you do have to catch it at the right time of day. My Mom and I have a special connection with rainbows and so I always appreciate them when I see them no matter how big or small. My Team knows this and so I think that they get a kick out of guiding me to some really unusual and awe inspiring ones, to my delight!
Later, it was time for the changing of the laundry…one load to the dryer, the next to the washer and the latter still needed to be gathered and I was already in the place to do so, and that’s when it happened!
Just before I began gathering clothes and such, that little voice said “before you start that, just go and put the clothes in the dryer now…first.” My logical mind started to pipe up and say “that doesn’t make sense, why would I do that…I am already here!” But I have been working on this…listening, and listening in real time, because timing is important! Not that you can’t catch the next boat, but following the direction now saves your Team from having to redirect you…listening in real time is the most direct path to get you to where you want to go!!!
Well guess what happened! I listened and went to put the clothes in the dryer and along the way I came upon the most unusual rainbow on the floor in my office! It was coming through the window, obviously, but it is just a regular ole window…with partially opened mini blinds…no prisims…no stained glass…no sun catchers of any sort. I have lived in this house for 8 1/2 years and never seen a rainbow come through that window! It was amazing! The picture really doesn’t capture the full essence of it or the full spectrum…but it was there, all of it! I snapped a couple of pictures and texted it to a friend and by the time the text was traveling through the atmosphere the rainbow was gone…just like that.
If I had not listened and had gathered my laundry first, which was the most logical thing to do, I would have missed it! I would have never known that it had been there…I wonder how many other amazing things I have not witnessed through the years? Was this life altering? Yes! Absolutely! It not only brought me great joy, but it inspired me to write this post and frankly I feel much more alive now and invigorated than I did before. Probably because I got caught up in the flow and now everything is just flowing with very little effort on my part. This is a perfect example of how listening and timing can bring the most ordinary and chore-filled day into technicolor…lol!
I know that this has only touched the surface, but hopefully it has inspired you to listen a little closer even when especially when it doesn’t make logical sense! Even this article didn’t go the way I expected it to, but it went the way of the flow.
What does listening look/feel/sound like? It could be that small voice in my head, or perhaps the sudden unexplainable hesitation to sit down right before the dryer buzzed, or all the sudden remembering that I turned the timer off for the potatoes about 15 mins ago and never got up to check on them (they were perfectly cooked btw.)
I intend to write more on “listening” and the many different ways that your guidance might show up. It is unique and similar to us all, and it is a big piece to the puzzle of understanding how to navigate the path of least resistance.
What does “listening” look/feel/sound like to you? I would LOVE for you to share in the comments!
Letting Go…Letting Flow…
Letting go, or releasing, is not what we tend to think– as it is not getting rid of! It is really letting flow… letting it flow through the process…letting it return to its Truth.
Letting go, or releasing, is not what we tend to think– as it is not getting rid of! It is really letting flow… letting it flow through the process…letting it return to its Truth. So, when you look back it's not that you've lost the memory; it's that the memory has been transformed to Truth!
Instead of looking back and seeing yourself as victim to the circumstances, you see the players as your living teachers that helped you evolve, that helped you see more of your Truth.8
By holding on you create blockages in the flow…this is what creates dis-ease, as our ease is in the flow. The way to stop disease is to let flow…
Our subconscious is always trying to protect us and it feels by holding on to these “ bad “ experiences it provides us a safety in the remembrance, so that we don't repeat it. But the thing is, when you hold on to it you don't actually allow it to process! You don't learn the fullness of the lesson– this isn't where the safety is!
When you let it flow, you let it flow back to Source –to the Truth. You let all of the players become unmasked, so that when you do look back at that memory instead of seeing the hurt– the lies –you see the Truth of it! You see the players as the loving participants in this lesson for you. What a beautiful transformation! I have a renewed spirit around letting go now 😁
